Last year, we welcomed PeriAstron to PyCon Greece for the first time. This year, they’re coming back with even more ways to explore the universe.
We’re excited to have PeriAstron join us again as one of our communities, bringing astronomy closer to the PyCon Greece experience and connecting science, technology, observation and curiosity.
During the day, you’ll have the chance to take part in solar telescope sessions and safely observe our closest star.
As evening arrives, the telescopes will turn towards the night sky, giving you the opportunity to explore the stars and discover more of what’s above us.
Curious about what Python has to do with astronomy?
Take part in interactive astronomy quizzes, including activities that bring astronomy and Python together. A chance to test what you know, learn something new, and see how programming can help us explore the universe.
PeriAstron will also bring a collection of astronomy photographs, showcasing some of the fascinating objects and phenomena that can be observed in the night sky.
Whether you already know your constellations or simply look up at the stars and wonder what’s out there, there will be something to explore.
