Meet the team behind PyCon Greece

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before PyCon Greece comes to life.

It’s people giving their time, sharing ideas, solving problems, designing things, answering messages, fixing last-minute issues, and helping wherever they can.

Some have been with us since the beginning, others joined along the way, but they all have one thing in common: they’re part of the community that makes PyCon Greece happen.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who is building this with us.

Vassiliki Dalakiari

Software Engineer & Community Builder

Vasiliki Dalakiari is a software engineer and the founder of MovieGroovy.gr, a mood based movies and series discovery tool. She’s a PyGreece organizer, Women Techmakers Ambassador, GDG Athens and PyLadies Athens organizer, supporting inclusive tech communities and mentoring newcomers. She also co-leads Boundless Minds, a space for open conversations about impostor syndrome, public speaking, and emotional well-being in the workplace. When she's not coding or organizing events, you'll find her sketching ideas for her next handmade bag or swapping movie tips over coffee.

Panagiotis Kyrillos

Software Developer Engineer

Panagiotis is a Software Development Engineer who primarily focuses on Python-powered observability automations and alerts, and he's also the brave soul who keeps his team on track as Scrum Master. When the code runs flawlessly in production and the daily scrum is done, he usually drives, attempts to design stuff for other interesting projects, and is part of the organizing team for the first-ever PyCon Greece. Clearly, sleep is optional.

Fanis Petkos

Fanis is an open-source enthusiast and a proud member of the Python Community. He is always interested in volunteering or organizing community-driven initiatives like PyCon Greece. He's always up for a hug, a good beer and long hike.

Software Engineer

Panagiotis Skias

Software Engineer

Panagiotis is a Software Engineer who spends most of his days wrangling JavaScript on the front end, while secretly dreaming in Python. When he’s not wrestling with JS, you’ll probably find him cooking up something in Python on the side. He’s also one of the organizers of PyGreece.

When he’s not coding, he swaps the keyboard for two wheels and hits the road. Basically, if he’s not behind a screen, he’s probably on a bike.

George Margaritis

Software Engineer

George is a Software Engineer with a soft spot for Python, open source software, and vibrant tech communities. He’s a PyGreece board member, helps out with organizing EuroPython, and also PyCon Greece.

Kalli Rantou

Software Engineer

Kalli is a software engineer who cares deeply about tech communities and making tech a more inclusive space. She’s part of the organizing teams behind PyCon Greece and PyLadies Athens, and enjoys bringing people together, creating spaces to learn and connect, and contributing to the Python community.

Outside of work and community organizing, she’s usually spending time with friends, reading a good book, or deciding what to watch on Netflix.

Chrysa Petala

Project & Experience Manager

Chrysa Petala is a project and experience manager working across facilitation, visual notetaking and innovation. As part of the WALK AUTh Innovation Accelerator, she works on programs and initiatives that support innovation, entrepreneurship and community building. She enjoys bringing people, ideas and creativity together, and turning complex things into something a little easier to understand. When she’s not working, you’ll probably find her underwater scuba diving.

Persephone Megaliou

Software Engineer

Persephone is a trans rights activist and software engineer curious for open source technologies.
