Speaker Mentorship Program

Mentorship applications are now open
Apply as a Mentee

PyCon Greece is built by the community, for the community and that also means making space for new voices. This year we’ve prepared the Speaker Mentorship Program to help people who want to speak at PyCon Greece 2026 but aren't sure where to start.

One-to-One Mentorship Program

The program pairs aspiring speakers (mentees) with experienced conference speakers (mentors) for one-to-one support. A mentor won't tell you what to talk about as the ideas are yours. They'll help you shape those ideas into a strong proposal, and if your talk gets accepted, support you through preparing and rehearsing it.

Who should apply as a mentee?

Particularly if any of the following applies to you:

  • You have an idea but don't know how to turn it into a CfP submission.
  • You've never spoken at a conference before.
  • You come from an underrepresented or marginalised group in tech.
  • You've submitted proposals before without success and want feedback.
  • You’ve spoken at a conference before but you lack confidence.

No speaking experience needed.

What to expect

Once matched with a mentor, you'll work together through the main stages:

  • Developing your idea: finding the right angle and scope for a PyCon Greece audience.
  • Writing your CfP: putting together a clear, focused proposal before the submission deadline.
  • Preparing your talk: if accepted, structuring your content with your mentor's input.
  • Rehearsing: practising your delivery before the conference.

Mentee applications are now open

Fill in the form to tell us about yourself and the topic you'd like to develop. We'll match every applicant with a mentor ahead of the CfP deadline.
