We want PyCon Greece to be a conference more people feel they can take part in, including people who've looked at tech events before and assumed they weren't built with them in mind. This is our first year building accessibility in deliberately, and we'd rather tell you plainly where we are than promise more than we can deliver.
What's in place this year:
The venue is accessible for people who use wheelchairs, including the session rooms, catering area and toilets.
Talks will be captioned live in English and Greek.
A dedicated quiet room away from the main floor, for anyone who needs to step out of the noise for a while. Alongside it: clear signage and a schedule we intend to keep stable.
Free on-site childcare for children aged 18 months to 12 years, running through all main sessions of the conference. It's provided in a dedicated space at the venue by the team of ama - Educational Experiences. A team of experienced educators and a nurse will run a two-day programme of themed workshops, free play and outdoor activities. Places need to be booked in advance, please fill in the childcare form once for each child, by September 26th, 2026.
Dietary requirements are collected at ticket registration. Every meal, including coffee breaks, will include a vegan option, which also covers vegetarian diets and, in most cases, halal requirements. Ingredients and allergens will be clearly labelled on everything served. Specific requests made during the registration will be attended to by the organizing team.
